Mardi Gras--Carnaval masks
21/03/2006 19:17
On March 21 for Spring, the children in my primary school--Notre Dame --celebrated Carnaval. Here they are just showing me their masks. They put on their costumes and paraded around town in the afternoon. I am in primary only in the morning. The handsome young man in the back is the new principal, Frank Tournier. We get along very well. The weather was very springlike--rainy!!

My classroom in the primary school
21/03/2006 19:11
March 21 was the day chosen to celebrate Mardi Gras--Carnaval. Since we were on winter break on Mardi Gras, the first day of Spring was chosen for the Carnaval. This is one of my two fourth grade classes in the English room I teach. I've never had such a big, bright room. One whole wall is windows. They were recently replaced with double paned glass and draftproof plastic framed. The old ones were wooden framed and very old with holes!
